Tom, Angel, Ron and Cheryl, Kevin and June, John and Beth had tons of fun building the Habitat for Humanity Faith House on March 15:   — sawing, hammering, learning power tools, and generally having a good time.  Vanessa made sure there was lunch for the regular workers — all 25 of them!!

The house is located at 1723 Leander Rd, Georgetown, TX.    map

You haven’t missed out on the fun.  Another opportunity to work and/ or provide lunches is scheduled for Saturday, May 17.  Watch the blogs for more details!

More about R.O.C.K. and the Barn Dance

(cont. from R.O.C.K. Open House)

Celebration Church provides financial support to the R.O.C.K.  Do you know why?  Because Christian fellowship means giving - right where people are - right where they need it.   Don’t you agree?  It’s not just about us, it’s about everyone.

Once a year the R.O.C.K. holds a Barn Dance, their premier money-making event.  This year was sold out and more!  With entertainment by Rick Trevino, food, an auction and other fun, it was well worth the wait.

R.O.C.K. made over $250,000 from the event!

But, let’s continue our story. . .

Susan Watkins, professional counselor and cancer survivor, knows the importance of the American Cancer Society.  Susan heard those momentous words on April 1, 2004.
